God created every one of us to fulfil a specific purpose and unless and until you discover your divine purpose and position yourself to fulfil it, life will never make sense to you. Reason being that life is not about what we see, but about what lies within us. Life is more spiritual than it is physical. When you know who you are and why you exist and live towards fulfilling it, you begin to experience a much more fulfilling, satisfying and a happy life.

God is our Creator and only He can define our individual purposes. He is our source; we have our beginning in Him and only in Him can we find our divine purposes. It is only a manufacturer of a product who knows its intended use, and only God knows your real reason for existence. Only He can reveal to you what He deposited within you at the time of your creation. You cannot find it through any other means, but by connecting yourself to your Maker.

There are so many people in the scriptures, past and present generations, who did not know their purposes until God came calling and showed them exactly what they carried or carry within them. Most of them lived to conquer nations, others were and are movers and shakers in their areas of influence, great world leaders as well as history makers. And you can be too.

Once you discover your special niche and dedicate yourself to work on it, everything about you and around you will shift to another level. God has designed each and every one of us in a unique way. None is like the other; even the most identical twins are not really identical. There is something within them that differentiates them. Every individual is equipped with different gifts and talents to accomplish a specific purpose, including you. The greatest discovery you will ever make in your life will be discovering your purpose, failure to which life will become a one boring routine to you. You are unique and exactly how God wanted you to be.

I know that it is easy to get caught up in the world and in our own self-fulfilling fleshly desires, but we need to understand that giving in to them and allowing them to take pre-eminence in our lives brings great struggles to us. When you don’t know why you exist, you literally allow yourself to be swept away by every wind that comes your way. Someone has wisely said that if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. One of the greatest reasons why many of us are operating under limitations and living defeated lives is because we don’t know our divine purposes. For you to achieve your greatness in life, you must discover your purpose.

Steve Jobs once said: “Everything around you which you call life was created by people who were no smarter than you. You can change it. You can influence it. You can build your own things which other people can use”.

As true and possible as it is, it’s also true that you cannot change or influence anything unless you know your divine purpose or in other words, if you keep falling for anything. One of the reasons why purpose is powerful is because it’s something you do without much struggle. It’s something inbuilt within you and so the moment you begin to deliver, it’s almost effortless. Finding your purpose is not a suggested good idea, it is something you must do because it is the only way God can be able to walk with you every step of the way. This means that if whatever you are engaged in is not in line with the plans of God for your life, you are definitely walking in rebellion. God does not obligate Himself to finish what He never started. You were born with a God–given purpose and fulfilling that purpose must be your primary mission in life.

There is a level of fulfilment, satisfaction and peace of mind that is tied to your divine purpose. There is also some level of grace God cannot release into your life until you begin fulfilling your purpose. Purpose unlocks abundance, prosperity and divine resources in your life. Your pathway to greatness is a function of fulfilling your purpose at the highest level of performance. There are some levels of achievements and success you will never have until you start living your purpose. No matter who you are; your status, color, origin or whatever you think distinguishes you from others, God has great plans for you, but you must seek Him to know His heart and mind concerning you.

He says in the Book of Jeremiah 29:11-13;

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart…”

And in Jeremiah 33:3;

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

If you do not know your area of influence, domain or your divine purpose, the dominion mandate will never make sense to you. You will not be fully exploiting the resources and opportunities that God has for you because you are operating outside your original mandate.
